Staring Gianni Vermeersch and Marcel Meisen, two riders that have a history of World Cup podiums and have already racked up UCI wins learning from the experienced riders, Burr Merlier and U23 European Champion Maud Capt Heijns.
The Team is racing on Easton EC90 SLX bars, with impressive strength and durability required for the rigors of cyclocross and a sub-200gram weight, matching with EA90 stems and Easton Pinline bar tape, as well as EC90 SL seatposts. The Steylaerts team is also racing on the new Easton EC90 SL crankset, capitalizing on the versatility of Cinch and the weight savings of a dedicated single ring setup. Marcel Meisen was originally skeptical of chain retention on a single ring setup based on the issues that have plagued other races, but after testing the Easton crank and ring firsthand with their non-clutch derailleur setup he quoted, “It is amazing! The chain just won’t come off.”
