The EC90 SLX was developed as the ultimate lightweight weapon for Easton's sponsored athletes. This sub 1,200-gram carbon wheelset is prized for amazing climbing prowess and smooth, dependable braking surface. These wheels are proven in cycling’s biggest events; they have earned the yellow jersey at the Tour de France in 2011, la Maglia Rosa at the Giro d'Italia and victory at the rugged spring classic Fleche-Wallonne. Look for the EC90 SLX to shine when the world's biggest races hit the high mountains. Shallow, 24-millimeter deep Easton carbon rims combine blisteringly-fast acceleration, compliant ride quality, precision braking and outstanding durability. R4 SL hubs feature alloy axles, axle caps and cassette bodies to shave 36-grams and utilize ceramic bearings for a smooth ride. Sapim double-butted spokes and alloy nipples cut weight even further without sacrificing durability. EC90 SLX wheels are entirely hand-built and acoustically tuned in Easton's own factory.
