Years of obsessive refinement and careful engineering have resulted in our lightest aluminum wheelset to date. At just 1,398-grams the EA90 SLX is perfect for any ride or race that features significant changes in elevation. Despite its low mass, this featherweight packs all the dependability and durability that are the hallmarks of any Easton product. And these wheels are wicked light, thanks to Easton’s exclusive Gen 4 front and rear-specific rims. Gen 4 rims use Easton’s premium EA6X alloy and are fabricated with a reduced wall thickness, saving at least 61-grams over previous versions.
The EA90 SLX wheelset runs on sealed R4 SL hubs that feature smooth-running ceramic bearings, 7075 aluminum axles and a light alloy freehub. Like every one of Easton’s wheels, the EA90 SLX is entirely hand-built and acoustically tuned in Easton’s own factory.
