Easton’s lead composites engineer, Sayeed Syed approaches projects differently thanks to his diverse background in composite sciences. Sayeed started out as a chemist but by the time he got to Easton in 2009, he had advanced composites credentials in fields as diverse as radar-transparent coatings and drone plane (UAV) armor. Sayeed realized that for carbon to be effective for cycling applications, he would have to create a generation of composites that worked differently than anything the cycling industry had seen before.
