Remember the MonkeyLite SL, the handlebar that changed the mountain bike world? That was a great handlebar, but we set out to make it even better. We considered the riders that live and breathe XC racing and we redesigned our most popular handlebar from the ground up. We refined the TaperWall™ butting, added strength and toughness to the Easton mountain composite and refined the shape. The resulting EC90 SL handlebar sets the new standard in weight, stiffness and strength: no other riser bar compares. At 135-grams, this handlebar is light enough to win the weight contests, yet its strength makes it at home shredding rough singletrack atop a long-travel trail bike.

Defined: TaperWall technology infuses our tubing with the unique performance characteristics revered by cycling enthusiasts and world-class athletes alike. Our computer-modulated draw benches allow us to create multiple tapers in the same tube, so the tube walls can be reinforced anywhere along their length with incredible precision. Easton also applies TaperWall technology to out carbon components. This enables us to apply more material to wall surfaces where stiffness is paramount and less material to areas requiring more compliance.
