The Havoc Carbon is the strongest mountain bike Easton has ever built (aluminum or carbon). In fact, the Havoc Carbon tests stronger than any handlebar on the market. Did we mention that it’s nice and wide at 750-millimeters and wicked light at 235 grams? We’re sure the Havoc Carbon bar will find its way into the test labs of competitors eager to figure out exactly how we pulled this one off. Truth is, we rely on the same, highly refined Taperwall technology that we’ve been using for years. The Havoc Carbon is lighter than most All Mountain bars currently on the market and, thanks to lab testing and ride testing on the bikes of top gravity riders, we know it’s even stronger and tougher than much heavier alloy bars.

Defined: TaperWall technology infuses our tubing with the unique performance characteristics revered by cycling enthusiasts and world-class athletes alike. Our computer-modulated draw benches allow us to create multiple tapers in the same tube, so the tube walls can be reinforced anywhere along their length with incredible precision. The result is jeweler-smooth walls that eliminate the stress points typical of other manufacturer’s tubing. Strength, weight, fatigue life, and responsiveness are all enhanced.
Easton also applies TaperWall technology to out carbon components. This enables us to apply more material to wall surfaces where stiffness is paramount and less material to areas requiring more compliance.
